Itinerary
Upon arrival at Lima International Airport, you will be met and transferred by private coach to your hotel in the Historic Center of Lima. After a long journey, we recommend a well-deserved rest.

Morning – Colonial Lima:
Guided tour of Lima, the “City of Kings.” Visit the Plaza Mayor, Cathedral Basilica, and view the exterior of the Government Palace. Continue with a panoramic drive past Plaza San Martín and admire Lima’s elegant colonial balconies.
Afternoon – Modern Lima & Museums:
Explore the upscale districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, with a walk through its Central Park and a stop at Larcomar Mall, perched on the cliffs for dramatic Pacific Ocean views. Afterwards, visit the Larco Museum, home to a magnificent collection of pre-Columbian ceramics, textiles, and gold and silver artifacts.
Overnight in Lima.
Morning:
Flight to Arequipa (2,350 m), a city framed by three snowcapped volcanoes and famous for its white volcanic stone architecture. Transfer to your hotel.
Afternoon – Arequipa City Tour:
Visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, a “city within a city” with bright walls and narrow alleys. Continue to the Plaza de Armas, the impressive Cathedral, and the Jesuit Church of La Compañía. Finish at the Yanahuara Viewpoint for sweeping views of Arequipa and its volcanoes.

Morning:
Drive through the Pampa Cañahuas Reserve, home to wild vicuñas. Cross the high pass of Patapampa (4,800 m) with stunning views of the Andean volcano chain. Arrive in Chivay, the gateway to the Colca Valley.
Afternoon:
Relax at the soothing La Calera hot springs surrounded by majestic mountains.

Morning – Cruz del Condor:
Visit the famous Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint, where you may witness condors soaring over one of the world’s deepest canyons. Explore traditional villages such as Maca and Yanque, admire colonial-era churches, pre-Inca terraces, cave paintings, and views of the Sabancaya Volcano.
Afternoon:
Return to Arequipa.

Morning:
Travel across the high plains to Puno, with a stop at the Sillustani Archaeological Site, featuring circular funerary towers (chullpas) overlooking Lake Umayo.
Afternoon:
Boat tour to the Uros Floating Islands on Lake Titicaca. Meet families who live on handmade reed islands and preserve ancient fishing traditions.
Overnight in Puno.
Morning:
Boat excursion to Taquile Island, famous for its traditional weaving (recognized by UNESCO) and its community lifestyle based on ancient customs.
Afternoon:
Return to Puno.

Travel by tourist coach along the scenic Ruta del Sol with cultural stops:
- Pukara Museum – pre-Inca monoliths and ceramics.
- La Raya Pass (4,335 m) – natural border between Puno and Cusco.
- Sicuani – buffet lunch.
- Raqchi – Temple of the god Wiracocha.
- Andahuaylillas – “The Sistine Chapel of the Andes,” filled with baroque murals.
Arrive in Cusco by evening.

Morning:
Tour the Plaza de Armas, Cusco Cathedral, and the Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), later converted into the Santo Domingo Convent.

Continue to Ollantaytambo, an Inca town-fortress with temples, terraces, and preserved streets.

Morning:
Train ride to Aguas Calientes, followed by a bus up to the citadel of Machu Picchu, rediscovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham. Guided tour of the most important sectors: the Temple of the Sun, Intihuatana, Main Plaza, and Temple of the Three Windows.
Afternoon:
Free time to explore at leisure before returning to Aguas Calientes.
Overnight in Aguas Calientes.
Morning:
Optional second visit to Machu Picchu, with the chance to hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain.

Train back to Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco.

Flight from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado. Upon arrival, transfer to the river port and travel by motor canoe along the Tambopata River to Posada Amazonas Lodge.

Climb a 30-meter tower for panoramic views of the rainforest canopy and Tambopata River.
Evening:
Introductory briefing on the community-based ecotourism project of Infierno.

Morning – Oxbow Lake:
Paddle on Tres Chimbadas Oxbow Lake, home to giant river otters, caimans, hoatzins, and other birdlife.
Afternoon – Ethnobotanical Center:
Visit Centro Ñape, where local healers explain the medicinal uses of Amazon plants.
Evening – Night Walk:
Optional hike to observe nocturnal wildlife such as frogs, insects, and perhaps night monkeys.
Overnight in Posada Amazonas Lodge.
Morning – Clay Lick:
At dawn, observe dozens of colorful parrots and macaws feeding on mineral-rich clay banks.
Afternoon – Community Farm:
Visit a traditional farm in Infierno community, where nearly every tree and plant has a medicinal, culinary, or practical purpose.
Overnight in Posada Amazonas Lodge.
Return by boat and road to Puerto Maldonado. Flight back to Lima. Depending on schedules, early departures may be required.
