Overview
The Ausangate Trek 6 Days is one of the most spectacular adventures in the Peruvian Andes. Unlike other treks, this journey takes you around the sacred mountain of Ausangate (6,384 m / 20,945 ft), considered a holy protector by local Quechua communities. You’ll pass through remote high-altitude landscapes, colorful lakes, glaciers, and thermal hot springs, with very few tourists around. Known as the “spiritual trek”, Ausangate offers a deep connection with nature, culture, and Andean traditions. It’s a challenging hike, but the breathtaking scenery and cultural immersion make it one of the most rewarding experiences in Cusco.
